Frequently Asked Questions About Family Safaris

The best time depends on what you want to see. For the Great Migration river crossings, June to October is ideal (North). For calving season (baby wildebeest), visiting Ndutu (South) from January to March is recommended.

We recommend at least 3 to 4 days to truly appreciate the vastness of the Serengeti and increase your chances of seeing the Big 5 and the Migration.

The "Big 5" refers to the Lion, Leopard, Rhinoceros, Elephant, and Cape Buffalo. The Serengeti is one of the few places where you can see all of them in their natural habitat.
